Annual Demo Derby Raffle
We are excited to announce our annual demolition derby raffle fundraising opportunity. Brad Guth, featured in this picture, has been involved with the wrestling club in various roles as a coach, board member, and advisor. Several years ago he introduced this annual program we carry forward today. Our club sponsors the building of a derby vehicle to register into the Nicollet County Fair for the Saturday night demolition derby. This year Ryan Timmerman, Dave Lehman, as well as sponsors and other club patrons are contributing to the derby car build. See more details below on how our club families can participate.
Derby Raffle Fundraiser Details
- Our club builds a derby car or truck each summer and registers it as a participant into the Nicollet County Fair for the Saturday night demolition derby.
- The club secures raffle tickets that we sell for $10 each and the winner gets the option to take a cash prize or drive the derby car/truck. There are 3 total winners drawn, but ultimately somebody gets to drive the vehicle in the derby.
- The club families help sell raffle tickets to secure funding that enables the club to operate. This is one of our biggest fund raiser of the year and need maximum participation from all club families to make is successful!
How Club Families Can Help
We need wrestling club families to help sell the raffle tickets. There are 50 total raffle books, and each book contains 10 tickets. Tickets are sold for $10/each and if we had each family sell 1 book we'd be done in a heartbeat!
Ticket pickup and money turn in times are being posted and updated on our Event Calendar. Also, be on the lookout for updates via our email notifications and via our Facebook page. We appreciate the help that our wrestling families can supply in this and all of it goes towards supporting K-12 youth wrestling in our community including purchasing singlets, new wrestling mats, securing funding for sponsoring tournaments, camps, and much more!
